Súper recomendable, creo que vale mucho la pena leerlo. Si ya viste la película te darás cuenta del empeño que se puso no solo en el guión si no en toda la producción

A Decent Pulp Read, But Not The Masterpiece The Films Would Suggest

I'm honestly surprised that it's taken me so long to read this book, given that the movies (1&2) are easily the greatest ever made. I've seen them countless times. The book disappoints. It's average. A "fun" read, but not canonical like the films. The writing is poor-to-fair. Without the context of the movies, whose characters are indelibly etched in our minds, the characters of the book feel hollow. I was truly unprepared for the rather banal and pedestrian nature of this book. It probably got its third star from me out of respect for the movies. I'll watch them again and again; I won't ever reread this book.

Terrible writing, cardboard characters, misogyny, boring.

I love books with betrayal, political intrigue, and family drama. This is such a classic one, with many good quotes that people (including me) often use without knowing what they are from. This book was good. It was deeply involved, twisty, and intriguing. Perhaps it was because I listened to the audiobook, but the many time hops and flashbacks were disorienting. Also, I still feel that some random scenes were unnecessary, and there were a few characters that I never understood the point of in the overall story. I enjoyed finally having read this classic tale, and might even watch the movie now. I have a feeling I will enjoy watching it more.
