4.5
dark emotional medium-paced

Things I liked:
I like when spice serves a true purpose, and it did in this book, for these two deeply hurt protagonists. This felt like the epitome of a healing journey, honestly

Also we love a boss bitch tbh. Reyna 4ever.

Things I didn’t:
Again, nothing, because apparently, mafia romance is who I am as a person these days.

Overall:
I loved Reyna. I loved Spider. I loved the way this built and wrapped up. Their growth, their healing, their journey, all wrapped in a little snark and a lot of depth of feeling.

Absolutely heck yeah.

This series ends with an unexpected turn in characters as MCs. Yes, we do have very boss ass bitches as FMCs in previous books but none of them come close to Viper, sorry to Black Widow, sorry to Reyna (I honestly confuse her name as Viper in my mind for 90% of the time while reading this book and that isn't my fault, it's Spiders').

Reyna is the queen of queens or as Homer would say Queen Devil Bitch of All Existence. And look, there's nothing sexier than a woman knowing her worth and her place and making everyone respect it. And the way Spider just ends up adoring the ground she walks on but still they play and bicker together is just so fun and adorable.

The energy and connection between Reyna and Spider, their pasts and how they've fought their attraction for half the book and then their "honeymoon" just oofffff! The sparks were flying and soaring and I was in love with them and with this book.
