This was a fun read. I'm not normally drawn to Fairytale retellings but I'm glad I gave these a chance.

This story turns gender roles on their head and that was fun to read.

I liked that Red was such so strong and confident character. She not only works to solve her issue but manifests her future as she wanted it to be.

I received this as an Advance Reader Copy with the hopes I would like it and review it.
adventurous funny inspiring fast-paced

I really enjoyed this little novella. It total gave a different perspective of Red and I cheered for her all the way. My favorite quote, "I may have to see him every day, but that doesn't mean I have to let him take up residence in my head... " spoke volumes because I believe we have all been through something like this. Red is a go getter, confident but not conceit. She worked hard for everything that came to her and this would be a good inspiring story to young girls.
I received an ARC of this tale and this is my unbiased review.

I really enjoyed this story! It was an interesting twist with the fairy tale Red Riding Hood. I also liked getting to know more about the Huntsmen from this Grimm Academy series. They have been on the outskirts in a few books but they are a mysterious group to all outsiders so we never got to learn much about them. I liked that Red was great at the outdoors stuff and knew how to take care of herself. While she still had learning to do and ways to improve she did know what she was doing and when she goes out with her partner and things don't go as planned she is ready to jump in. I liked the way that Kit and Red got to know each other and built a relationship built on mutual respect first before anything else happened. This was a fairly quick read for me that I really enjoyed. It held my attention from beginning to end and was entertaining. I am looking forward to more in this series and hopefully more in the Hunstmen camp.

This is a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. As the other books in the series, Red is at Grimm Academy because there is a prophecy about her that could lead to her death. She just wants to become a Huntsman even though normally only men can be. Can she pass the test to become a Huntsman and avoid her prophesied fate? This story is a well written and easy read. I really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun reading it! I liked Red and Kit and I’m definitely going to keep reading this series!

I've been in love with fairy tales or folklore stories since my childhood, and as an adult, I've taken to reading as many retellings as I can find, in order to relive my enjoyment of those stolen, precious moments from my childhood. This story did not disappoint!! Where the previous stories failed, this one succeeded in spades! I loved how the story of Red Riding Hood was utterly turned on its head and Red became a strong, independent young woman to be reckoned with!! This would be a story that I would have loved to share with my daughter as she was growing up, to show her that a woman can do anything she sets her mind to! Kudos to the author for a book that is worth passing down to the next generations!
lighthearted fast-paced

Huntsmen And Hoods by Laura Greenwood is the fairytale inspired story from Little Red Ridding Hood. The third book in the Grimm Academy series follows Red’s journey joining the Huntsmen and her prophecy.
This was a lovely story and great insight to the other students on the academy grounds.

This was quite a departure from the previous Grimm Academy books. Featuring a self-made heroine with an impoverished background, Red has no interest in etiquette lessons, political diplomacy, or ballrooms. Her goal is to be a Huntsman and her story travels away from the academy and into the surrounding woods and she proves her mettle and finds her place. Luck has no place in her story, it is all about planning, hard work and determination. She is a character who is very genuine and true to who she is.

The adventure in this book wraps around a sweet romance. The kind between two people who instantly hit it off and are destined to be friends, but neither are looking for romance and it kind of sneaks up on them. Compared to other books, the curse seemed almost anti-climactic. It was reminiscent of the traditional tale.

Another great book in this series at Grimm Academy. It was a quick read, just as well as I couldn’t put it down. It is good to be in a familiar location, with characters from a previous book. The descriptions of the new locations and characters allowed me as the reader to imagine my location. I like that these are based on known fairytales but told in a different way. Loved the relationship between Red & Kit, I am a romantic at heart, and HEA ending.
