A really good sequel, looking forward to seeing how everything comes together in the end.

Going into this book, I was afraid that I’d forget the events in Angelfall as it’d been months since I read the first book. But, I am happy to report that the moment I started reading World After, I was immediately thrown back into the world that Susan Ee created.

Other than the obvious issue of the angel infestation, some of Penryn’s problems are a little closer to home. On top of having to care for her disabled sister, she also constantly has to watch over her mother, who is mentally ill. But with the way she tackles her problems one at a time, it just proves to me how she’s a very strong character. And while I can’t say I have to deal with anything even remotely close, I do find her a relatable character and I enjoy reading the book from her perspective.

While it didn’t blow me away or throw me off my feet, I still think that World After is a pretty solid sequel to Angelfall. The characters, even the secondary characters like Dee, Dum, and Obi are great, it still has the plot twists you might not see coming and it was overall an enjoyable read. Especially if you like creepy things like dragonfly/scorpion humanoids that will liquefy your insides :D

Woohoo. Konečně dočteno!
Má to hrozně moc hluchých míst, ale Raffe a Méďa Béďa. Čtyři hvězdičky, jak jinak.

I'd heard some people say that they thought this was a disappointment compared to the first book. It definitely wasn't to me. Although it wasn't as amazing as [b:Angelfall|11500217|Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1)|Susan Ee|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1319887835s/11500217.jpg|16435765], I still really enjoyed it. Susan Ee just made it to my favorite authors list!

BY THE ANGEL (I'm being a bit multi-fandom here, yes.) Wow. I can't find the right words to describe how incredible World After is. The start was a bit of a drag for me but the last few chapters
Spoiler(aka when Raffe and Penryn reunite)
were so amazing they made up for the first half of the book. I flew through the last few chapters, I was just so hooked. This book had me tangled up in my emotions. Susan Ee just knows when to give you action, romance and humor at the right time. To anyone struggling to get through the first parts, the ending is worth it, I swear on every book I own! To anyone who is having second thoughts on reading World After, this is the sign saying "GO AHEAD AND READ IT WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOOOOR?" Yep, it's just that awesome.

I seriously love this series, these books just keep getting better and better. I was a bit scared going into this book that it was gonna have second book syndrome but it doesn't. Its as good if not better than the first book. I can't wait to read the final book in this series and see how everything wraps up.

Oh boy what a disappointment. I loved the first book and the ending left much room for where the story could go, but oh my. This book is bad, it is mostly filler and guess what, the main plot of this book is recovering Paige yet again. Paige is only a character placed to drive the plot which is almost the exact same as the first book.

Well there are some interesting things added in this book like the angel swords actually being able to talk to whomever is currently imprinted to it. As well as some of the reasons of why the angels attacked Earth in the first place is reveled and that is about it.

In short, read the first book and stop. If you really want to know what happens after read the second one.
