I really want them to be together but i also don't want Raph to be damned. I hope at the end the creator will know the truth and will aid but i really don't know. This book is crazy and for a beginner fantasize reader, i can personally envision what is happening!

I'm really not sure how I feel about this book. I didn't enjoy it as much as Angelfall but it definitely wasn't a bad book.

I definitely enjoyed more time with Penryn as I do really like her character. And I was very impressed with some of the fight scenes, I really struggle with writing fight scenes and these all felt really well written, exciting and realistic.

That said I do have a couple of issues with this book. The first is that it did feel a little slow at first, though one of my biggest issues with the first book was that was too fast paced it didn't really give us time to get to know and care about the characters before things got going. That said it also could have felt this way because of something else that makes it different from the first book; one of Angelfall's strengths was that it had a clear goal all the way through even with subplots and changing character motivations it was all about Penryn's goal to find Paige and save her from the angels. You just don't get that here. It feels like the characters are just tossed around from one problem to another until it just ends. And honestly that doesn't make for a strong story.

That said, yes I did enjoy reading it and still intend to read End of Days but yeah, not as good as the first book.

I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first one and wants more of Penryn and answers on what exactly happened to Paige.
