Quick easy read with likable characters. I absolutely loved the relationship of Penny and her 2 best friends and their text message banter. I was a little frustrated with the constant I must run away instead of communicating theme with the main character. In general I'm always annoyed whether it's a movie or book that relies on this. But I'm a bit direct and pragmatic, so that is not how I live my life. But I think that impacts my rating as I rolled my eyes a bit during this read. It does not end the way I thought it would and there is definitely room for a sequel (which I would read).

This Amazon First Reads pick was just good, heartwarming holiday family fun! It takes place during Thanksgiving, so it was the perfect read for this month.
