Penelope in Retrograde was a fun, light read. Our lead, Penelope, feels like the black sheep of her family which has only lead to her keeping them at arms length. While throughout the book you just want people to talk and share their real feelings, the underlying emotion are relatable. The entirety of the cast is lovable and unique. I also love romance books that focus on more than the romance- which this does!

It was pretty cute. Pretty typical. Black sheep of the family Penelope goes back to see her family for thanksgiving after 10 years. Family drama happens, she falls for a guy from her dads company, family drama ends and they all live happily ever after
