This is such a fun and colorful book of celebration and how sometimes it is worth the wait. A cute story and I think kids will love the colors and the way the words flow.

Picture book.  A young boy in family gets to see all sorts of exciting people board the tap-tap. But he never gets to go! He watches a mango seller, a hat-maker, a painter, a steel drum player, and a fisherman throughout the week and is excited when come Sunday he gets to interact with them all!  A cute story set in another country, the story has a strong sense of setting and also incorporates words in Haitian Creole (as a French speaker I recognized the days of the week, and most of the terms used, but the boy's favorite saying "bon bagay! was new to me.)  A good book to read for a transportation, travel, or days of the week storytime. Author is married to a Haitian and illustrator is Haitian, a glossary of Creole words used is appears in the back.
