Definitely not the best of the three Johnny Maxwell books but a solid second place.
Time travel in books always makes me a bit woozy but I like how Pratchett explained and used it.

Solid 4 star experience

I liked this one better than #2, but the first one is still my favorite of the 3.

Great end book to the trilogy. I feel genuinely fond of the characters now and I'm going to miss them.

Eh. It was alright. Easy to read but not that captivating. I find Pratchett's usual dialogue on the funkyness of time and history to work better in his fantasy world than on this one.

The third and final instalment in the Johnny Maxwell trilogy again takes the series in a completely different direction to the previous books: time travel. It has the welcome return of Kirsty (last seen in Only You Can Save Mankind. This book has the interesting take on social commentary, particularly regarding attitudes towards race and gender for both 1941, where Johnny travels to and the early 90’s when the book was written. The humour works at many levels and the story never talks down to the reader. It was also nice to see some concepts and mannerisms that later featured more prominently in the Discworld series.
A very enjoyable book, though not so much a conclusion to a trilogy but the final book of three.
