This was such a fun and wonderful read. Very character driven. The audiobook was PERFECT and the surprise recorded song at the end was actually very catchy and cute.

I had high hopes for this one, but it honestly didn’t live up to them. It was definitely interesting, but I didn’t care for Mary Jane’s “sex addict” panic storyline. I also wished that the book focused more on the 70s music scene as a whole.
So much better than another one of her books that I read. A great quick, light read but a lot of fun.
The story captured a sensitive topic about growing apart from our parents and our family to form our own perspectives and opinions instead of just copying what they think and delved into the struggle of realizing that our parents might not always be right or share the same beliefs as us and figuring out how to navigate that and strive for a middle ground. It's something we've all dealt with in some way or another which made the story feel so genuine and relatable and despite the seriousness of it all the overall vibe was really chill,comforting and thrilling and I enjoyed it all.
