“to built, we must break” i did not expect the love this story and plot as much as i did. pierce brown did an amazing job with the world building, the character development, and telling a story so captivating that makes you forget you’re even reading.
I would love to give it more because it was a truly incredible end to the epic saga, but there was much to be desired with a lot of the side characters.
Sefi for example, is a wildcard that catalyses the plot, she is introduced as rational, then forgoes it when the plot requires- all blamed on her tribal nature.
I feel the same way about a lot of the Howlers, who just don’t make sense anymore.
It was however, action packed. The suspense was done incredibly well, the twists, deaths and action too. Clearly a better read than the previous two.

Probably the best book of the series. The pacing was good, lots of twists and turns and thinks were resolved well whilst still leaving plenty of story for the next 3 books.
