This book took me on such a ride.I’m not going to lie the characters made me angry so many times but the kind of angry you have to keep reading because your just like “where is this going.” I just want everyone to get what they deserve.I liked this book and can’t wait to finish their story in Pulse.

*** Bottle Caps

“Here's to bottle caps, the Yankees, and 'birds', and most of all"...he paused and lowered his voice to a whisper.." and, most of all to a beautiful girl named Molly who refuses to believe the man-the man who loves her more than she'll ever know”

I seem to be the odd girl out here. The story was just OK for me. I wanted to love it, I really did but mostly found myself highly frustrated. And not in a "hot -n- bothered" kind of way.

Emily moves to New York to be near her boyfriend Dillon after her mother dies of Cancer. She is living with her college roommate and soon lands a job as a waitress. A food delivery with a side of fate leads her to Gavin Blake. Gavin, suffering from love at first site, makes no attempt to hide his interest in Emily. A night on the town with her boyfriend Dillon and a run in with Gavin will reveal that he is a friend of Dillon's. This in no way detours Gavin from his pursuit of Emily.... great friend right?

Soon Emily discovers that Dillon is not as he seems, he's actually a douchebag and a cheat. Enter sweet and charming Gavin. A love triangle ensues. Emily is torn. Having enough of Dillon's BS, Emily calls it quits and sleeps with Gavin. Everything is happy in Emily/Gavin land for a whole night until an ex shows up at Gavin's apartment and Emily is led to believe that he is no different than Dillon.

Dillon crawls back begging for forgiveness after Emily feels she has been scorned by Gavin. Emily has a decision to make and is driving everyone, especially me, crazy with her indecision as to what it is she really wants. Emily will need to decide if she wants to pursue a life with now fiance, douchebag Dillon or take a chance on Gavin who makes her feel everything she should feel.

Cliffhanger alert! We will need to wait for Pulse (Collide #2) to see what choice Emily will make.

So....I don't know whether or not I liked this book or absolutely hated it. There were a few times I actually wanted to throw it. It was basically the epitome of Murphy's Law. Interesting characters but at one point I just got to where I was like "seriously Emily? SERIOUSlY! Grow an effing spine because you seem to have lost yours." Having said that, the book was enjoyable and I understand the message that was trying to be sent. I will be reading the sequel strictly because of the cliffhanger ending.

My friend got me to read this saying it was her favorite. We typically have the same opinions and tastes. But I wasn't crazy about this book.
First off, Dillion the douchebag! Seriously? If any man treated me that way I would have been out the door without a second glance. Secondly, it was obvious he was cheating before the author wrote it out. Third, I didn't get one redeemable quality vibe off him at all, he "was"; was being the stressed word; kind to Emily in Colorado. Nothing after.
Now to Emily. She's naive and a little too immature for me. I lived how she couldn't forgive Gavin for Gina, but could easily go back to Dillion after literally catching him in the act. Get a grip! And let's not even mention how Gavin relentlessly chases Emily.
I liked a lot of things about this book. But I disliked a lot too. I had the way Olivia seemed to enjoy bringing out the worst in everything. I think my biggest hang up was the fact they instantly fell in love. Don't get me wrong I can understand instant passion. But not love.

I rolled my eyes a lot reading this one. I didn't enjoy the randomly swapping character point of views and the female lead was annoyingly weak for a female author. Not awful, might try the next book. Didn't LOVE it.
