The weakest of the first 4 books and its not even close. Eragon is just Eragon and does not get much more development outside of him shooting his shot with Arya. Roran is at his weakest but still has the most interesting scenes in the whole book especially when we takes the city of Aroughs. Galbatorix is extremely disappointing as the main villain, built up to be this big bad guy ends up just being a mad key that is painfully average. Like how the h*ll did this guy rule for so long? The ending was good though as we do get a somewhat happy ending to a good (falls just shy of great) series. Or so we thought, book 5 came out a few months ago and I just found out about it, stay tuned for a more in-depth analysis of that book as it will be fresh in my mind when I write a review.
