This is a fun, soapy novel! I enjoyed the large cast of characters, but I sometimes felt overwhelmed with the multiple storylines. I read “Crazy Rich Asians” a few years ago and I recommend brushing up on that story and its characters before starting this one.

You want to talk about ridiculous?
Let's talk about ridiculous.
Let's talk about how thoroughly entertained I was from start to finish with this book. Confusion, annoyance, amusement, shock- the whole gambit of emotions was present for me while I listened to this. Do people like this really exist? Because if so, honestly, why do we waste so much time on the Kardashians? I'd be much more interested to see this become a reality show.

First book was better

Good second book but seems to take a long time. There seemed to be a lot of extra in the middle that really didn't seem necessary and just caused the story to drag at times.

That weird plot twist at the end seems carelessly crafted but whatevah, as long as Astrid is happy, I am happy.

Not as good as Crazy Rich Asians - having Rachel's family *also* be wealthy was super contrived - but still fun to read.

One of the few sequels I’ve read that wasn’t disappointing!

A fun continuation of the first book in the series!
