Not as good as the first book, but had all the same issues (lacking depth, focused on clothes and food). Light-hearted, easy read and I'll probably still finish the series.

“I promise I will never stop sending you letters of love, Astrid. Until my dying day.”
The sharp satire that buoyed the first installment of this series rounded into gentle absurdism in this second effort. The lavish wealth on display wasn’t tempered or balanced as Rachel, previously our main source of grounding, was almost unrecognizable. A brief foray into her diary entries is an odd inclusion that reads like a laundry list of Crazy Rich Expenditures without any of Rachel’s practical economic perspective. It was still fun and I’m interested enough to finish the series, but I’m not expecting more than some vapid fun.
