I expected something different, but on the whole I liked it.

The book is set in Alagaësia but, as the author clearly states, it is not the fifth chapter in the Inheritance Cycle. It mostly focuses on Murtagh and Thor struggling with their past: the story is interesting, but I would have liked some more development of the plot, we barely get to meet Nasuada and all the other main characters are cited but do not appear.
I'm glad to be back in this lovely world, but I didn't feel the eagerness to finish it that characterized the previous books. 

I hope this will be a springboard for future adventures with Eragon and Saphira.
