3 short stories showing how Jack and Ethan are navigating their new relationship parameters. It’s full of missteps, misunderstandings, but also hope and tentative feels and an obvious preference for the other though nothing has been officially said.

Swoony in the little things, these two have a lot ahead of them in regards to relationship progression but it’s the small wins that make this so satisfying!

Bargaining with the Devil is a short novella that further develops the growing relationship between Jack and Ethan and I can’t get enough of these 2. They are so endearing together. Both are coming to realize…. or more accurately, both realize that their little arrangement is more than just sex. Both are scared shitless and neither of them know what to do with it; which leaves them both feeling vulnerable and opens the door to knee jerk reactions and misunderstandings. Both are struggling with a ludicrous desire to “protect” the other (ludicrous in that neither of them is in that much need of “protection”). Luckily the intensity of their connection keeps either of them from doing anything too stupid or straying too far.

They are still not exclusive, and we know that Jack at least has dabbled while Ethan has been away with his assassin duties. Happily, Jack found it all very underwhelming and forgettable. Towards the end Ethan asks Jack about his interrupting a possible hook up with someone else and Jack must acknowledge that it wasn’t going to happen because he really wasn’t interested because “it wasn’t you”.

This series will not be complete until Jack kisses Ethan on the mouth and Ethan gives Jack a blow job.

Well. These two men are so stupid I swear but I love them.

I swear they don't know how to talk.

Ethan wants to "break up" because he fell asleep in Jack's apartment and didn't feel safe.

Jack is sleeping with other people because they haven't talked about Exclusivity

I enjoyed the first one but I'm not a huge novella fan and these are required reading for book 2. I still got them and read them, but I'm not so sure I would have bought all of them, if I hadn't purchased book 2 and realized I couldn't read that without reading these.

GIVE ME MORE NOVELLAS PLEASE AND THANK YOU. I love that these were so sweet and how you can see them leading up to just...something big that’s going to happen in Jack and Ethan’s future. I can’t wait to read more stories about these two!!!

Great little novella made up of 3 separate stories. I can't get enough of Ethan and Jack and this novella just wet my whistle a bit until book 2 comes our way in December.

We get a bit of angst thrown our way, with a touch of what may be jealousy. There's even some feels thrown in for good measure.

I don't know about you, but I am dying for book 2. It can't come out soon enough.

Short stories with some domesticity and uncertainty between the leads that aren't exclusively together but do like one another. Kind of unsure why these weren't just made into another book, as there's a ton more novellas to read through before reading book 2 of the series. Whyyyy.

A sweet installment as Jack and Ethan shack up at Jack's place. Relationship building over a period of time where they are basically friendly with benefits. Highlight: jack as a devil at a hen party.

The incremental progress these two assholes make towards naming how exactly they feel about each other gives me life. Especially Jack. He’s just the right amount of being in denial for me to mutter “oh sweet summer child” while reading about his mental squirming. Fun fun fun!
