Elated this was my first-ever audiobook. It wasn't exactly a major hurdle to get over but it was a medium of reading I thought I wouldn't enjoy for some reason. Thank God for Jennette McCurdy though because this was remarkable. I listened to the whole thing in one sitting while doing lab work I'd been putting off which is two major achievements at just 12:00pm.

This book was so candid and vulnerable and it's quite jarring to listen to at times.  I was surprised and affected by how brutally honest this and I was constantly whispering "wtf" under my breath. Jennette is a fantastic writer. Her prose is terse and she is ominously funny and I will read everything she writes. I am admittedly biased because I was an iCarly fan and I did embarrassingly model my personality after Sam Puckett when I became a teenager until I was at least 15 ...so yeah I love Jennette haha.

I genuinely wish her all the best and like she says 'My mom didn't get better. But I will."
