im not one to put a rating on peoples life's, but im one to rate someones writing.
this is just so dark and beautiful, she went through so much and the way she describes it is so dark and emotional.

Engaging - brutally so. Several moments I had to pause and stare at the page in disbelief. Things just keep happening, but there is a lack of self-pity imbued in the author's voice.

I do think she did herself some disservice in skimming over her recovery. To continuously have to fight for your wellbeing is no small feat and it would have been nice for her to get her flowers. At least she probably does outside of the book, considering its success.

I felt like this story was something I had to hear, but I’ve put off listening to it for a while. I was a huge iCarly kid when I was younger. For my birthday I was given vinyl iCarly stickers to decorate my closet door with. I remember being bothered by Jennette’s sticker. She looked uncomfortable. I kept thinking about that sticker while listening to her explain her life.

I’m glad she’s in a better place now, and I hope that she was able to get some solace through her writing. I also hope she got more money than she would have gotten from Nickelodeon’s hush money lol. It is a comforting ending, that even when things are shitty you can improve yourself through hard work and get better.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. Maybe it was the over hype. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but it was not the god tier memoir people made it out to be.
