3.5⭐️ friends to lovers is definitely not my thing at all, especially childhood but this was decent. it was nice the story being something a bit different that helpless starving human BUT kiran is a selfish asshole, maeva should absolutely have not taken him back, she should have told him he can stick it where the sun doesn’t shine for sureeee. i do like how all the characters are starting to interact more and the over arching story is coming out
Did I enjoy this book? Yes!
Why? Because I'm addicted to these vicious warlord cinnadoms. The series is very reminiscent of Ice Planet Barbarians, so if you enjoyed those you should love these. If not...then maybe this genre isn't your jam. Is each book fairly similar? Ok, sure. Does it hurt the series? Not even a lil. There is a pretty cool larger story that unravels a bit more in each book, and you get lil glimpses of previous characters (WHICH I LOVE B/C I MISS THEM).
This story, I will admit, had me on the fence in the beginning because it is a second chance love trope and I get anxious. BUT, unlike other second chance romances - this one doesn't have an infuriating toxic MMC, and the FMC has a backbone.
If you like your alien men scarred and tailed - read these.

Is it smutty smut smut? I mean nah, not really. There are scenes for sure but you get more story than spice.
