I loved this book only because I enjoy books that challenge my ideologies and make me question my own reality. I do recommend it to anyone who is patient enough to get past the intricate wording.

Reading this felt like watching something happen from far away through a frosted window… maybe there is something there that is interesting, but too much is obscured. And none of the characters have depth.

Everything is fair in love and war, until you fall in love with your rapist.

While I don't agree with Rand's philosophies, she is a stellar writer.

It was good, I would fuck with it but then get bored at parts. Had too many others on the queue so I “paused”, now I’m quitting.

Well it’s been days I’ve started reading this book and now I’m having a doubt whether I’m going to complete it ever or not.
Now the author’s introduction itself is 8 pages long. Isn’t that wee bit longer than it should be? Initially I found introduction also interesting but now by the mid of it I was lost.

This one is tough for me, because when I first read it as a sophomore in college, I would have given it a 5. I recently re-read it and I give it a 3 the second time around... so I've decided to compromise. Some of the ideas that were very refreshing for a young, insecure Anna are now kind of annoying.

LOL I had given this 5 stars in high school before I realized how much I dislike objectivism
