"Many a woman has been ruined by a single kiss."

I didn't expect that I like the book quite as much as I like the shows. I've never tried historical romance before and I thought it'd be boring and dull. But, [b:The Duke and I|110391|The Duke and I (Bridgertons, #1)|Julia Quinn|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1379594717l/110391._SY75_.jpg|846763] is simply adorable and entertaining read. I'd give it 5 stars if it's not because one particular botherly part and I feel sorry for Simon.
I watched the shows first before I read the book and I love the Bridgertons even more, especially Anthony Bridgerton. The banter between Simon and Daphne, also the hot scenes (there's quite many) lol... I like that and it makes me giggling and smiling.
That's why I think I'd continue to read this series and can't wait to read another Bridgertons love story.

“Did you know I have always suspected that men were idiots,” Daphne ground out, “but I was never positive until today.”

Okay, so there has obviously been a lot of discussion of the scene in this book. All I will say was it was 100% unnecessary & I have no idea why the author would think it was okay to put in. Other than that, why does she say “females” so much? Woman is a great word (a much better word). This book is an okay love story at best, but I heard the series gets better so let’s see.
I loved it!
Daphne and Simon's relationship is pretty unique to me. They don't really know each other yet they manage to be friends and that friendship turn into love by days. Though I really wish they would be more drama or at least more angst, I enjoyed this book so much.
Looking forward to read the next installment of this series!
