For a regency era romance it’s pretty good but I’d recommend just watching the tv show on Netflix instead.
DNF. I mean kudos for spawning the Bridgerton TV series, of course, but after reading 3 (4 if you include this DNF) of these there are dramatically diminishing returns... will stick with the shows.
honestly this was going to be a solid 2.5 or 3 until chapter 18. absolutely ruined the rest of the story for me and i couldn't root for daphne and simon at all

Me gustó pero qué onda con Daphne y lo cuestionable de sus decisiones.
En fin, me reí mucho y suspiré por la pareja.

How is the show infinitely better than this garbo? I respect it for being the source material but omg I will stick to the show

TW/CW: SA, non-con
Irritated with her lack of prospective husband, Daphne Bridgerton realizes she needs help.
Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, doesn't need every debutante and their mamas to follow him around London.
When they finally meet, they realize that they could help one another.
This was a very interesting book, although I've read better ones. I of course already watched the TV show, so it was interesting to see all the differences. I liked it, but I thought it would be more exciting and with a more character development, considering that this book series over others got adapted to the screen.
