fun read! i enjoyed identifying the colours of people in my circles and seeing how true the principles in this book applied, which turned out to be quite accurate! i did feel it was drawn out and repetitive, but the pace was fast so it wasn’t too bad

The content and information presented in this book could’ve been condensed into a couple of pages or short article. Information was rehashed a million times without any spins or caveats, and the majority of this book was analyzing hypothetical people/scenarios or allegedly real scenarios that coincidentally fit the narrative the author was trying to present a little too perfectly. I have no idea what the other books in this “series” have to say—probably a cash grab I will not be partaking in even if I’m reading for free via the library. Not worth my time, but I do sound pretentious when I can work in talking about a sociology book I read into conversation; interviewers love that one when it comes to the infamous “tell me about a time you experienced conflict”

Loooove the concept but i genuinely feel that the message was clear after one third of the book, sincerely a green with lots of yellow, no red or blue.

Understanding people's communication styles and preferences is key to effectively working/collaborating with them - be it at the workplace or in your personal life. I think this book was well-detailed, explaining each of the four 'profiles' and how you can share feedback and work with their strengths well.
It is understandable that putting people in 'boxes' may look like we're not open to understanding the nuances of their personality better, and that we're all on a spectrum - but I believe tools such as this book sort of attempts at breaking down the concept of communication. And no person is a 100% red/blue/green/yellow - that's only around 5% (as the book states). 80% of people are a blend of two profiles.
This book is quite handy if you're working in a corporate setting or in sales (where you will be meeting clients). Clashing personality types can be quite disastrous.
