Aunque me olía que pasaba casi desde el principio no puedo decir que haya sido aburrido. Tiene una trama rápida, constante y que te atrapa.
El libro es sencillo y se lee de una sentada.
Leeré más de esta autora seguro.

That final reveal left me more sad than shocked.

This book was fine. I enjoyed it, but not a whole lot happened, and the ending felt rushed. An interesting enough read, but overall forgettable. Good for simple escapism that doesn't require a lot of thinking.

Captivating story. Kept me intrigued. The ending was too dark for my taste.

one of my favourites by Ruth Ware so far, it‘s hard to rank them but I‘d say for me it‘s:
1./2. The Turn of the Key & One by One
3. One Perfect Couple
4. Zero Days
5. The Woman in Cabin 10

I‘m not a fan of long chapters but NO chapters? I really thought this would be harder for me to get through. I also didn‘t love that it was written as a letter - one the one hand I constantly forgot about it since most of it’s written like any other book; on the other hand, if you do think about it, why are you telling your potential defence lawyer about the shower you took in such detail (writing a letter literally the length of a novel), and how are you able to recall every minute of every day while also saying the days all blur together; but that‘s just a minor thing that threw me off a little every time the lawyer was directly addressed in the middle of the book.
I’m unsure about the open ending, I would’ve liked to know how the trial went. I‘m glad Jack was innocent (at least in terms of murder & opening the gate to the poison garden, the potential cheating on his wife is another thing not entirely resolved)

But still, one of my favourite books of the year so far

I absolutely loved this book, as someone who reads thrillers almost consistently it was a new experience and broke off from many common thriller themes. Yes there was some classic plot twists; family heritage linking, the cheating husband etc... but I have never been so unsure while reading a thriller what the actual threat was. It was so exhilarating to not know if it was indeed paranormal or otherwise (and even though I don’t necessarily enjoy paranormal novels that much this was light and not over the top) The ending did break my heart a bit, knowing the truth behind the death and not ever having a conclusion of what followed such as the trial or Rachel’s outcome, but all of that is what made me love the novel even more. Great read.
