Well.... it is very spooky and I got the creeps. The writing style is something I am not used to but I gave it a go! Glad I finished it to be honest. After two hundred pages I got bored because I just wanted to know who did it but the more I read it picked up! Still confused but was an okay book.
Downside is that I don’t think I will be picking any other of the authors work up though.
Mu mum read this, start of 9th of November and plans to finish today 12th of November 2020 Mum says it is the Best Book she has read in years! Her rating is 10/5. Brilliant, it has more twists and turns and made her catch her breath! Great that she has got back into physical reading again.

I really enjoyed this book. Kept me guessing till the end.
This is not a very complex thriller, but it had a couple of elements that I really enjoyed. I liked the way the author mixed the traditional spooky victorian house setting with the over the top smart home. I also liked that she spent some time developing main character's job (nannying) and made it an integral part of the story as opposed to a convenient excuse to get the protagonist to move into the house.
I didn't think the big reveal and unfolding of the story in the last chapter of the book were very satisfying. Everything more or less made sense but I think too many reveals were saved for the end as opposed to them being discovered more slowly throughout the book.

I could NOT turn the pages fast enough. Twists to literally the last page - I LOVED IT!!!!!
