This one really made me feel a lot of things. I’m very close with my dad, so I can’t imagine losing him, hearing those parts of the story made me really sad.
Good book, easy read, just something nice to flow through with a good message. As always with Sarah Dessen, I really enjoyed it.

This is my favorite book of all time (so far). I felt it had extremely relatable characters. It isn't a fairytale love story, its more real and deeper than those of most relationships you find in books.
This was my first Sarah Dessen novel and it made me very happy to have discovered her. I enjoyed the sweet love story, punctured with real tragedy and quirky characters. Though I did feel like it ended sort of abruptly after a long slow build-up.
SPOILER: Also, I would have liked to have known more about what was in Wes’ head. It’s pretty clear how he feels about Macy through his actions, and I know it’s part of his charm, but I wanted to know what truth he passed on (though I can guess he would have answered it similarly to how Macy did).

This book is actually a re-read for me. I first read The Truth About Forever almost two years ago on ebook format. I loved it and I know I just have to get my own physical copy. That’s why when I received my order for it, I immediately read it. The title is what made me want to read this book. I remember finding it on the internet, like, 3 years ago and I know I have to read it. The book cover is pretty as it highlighted two of my favorite colors: green and blue. I just wish that they have put the ‘Angel’ or ‘heart-in-hand’ sculpture instead of this wishbone bracelet. I already have read 4 books by Sarah Dessen and my favorites are The Truth About Forever and Lock and Key.
“Doesn’t it seem, sometimes, that the whole damn world’s uphill?”
This book is like a typical set-in-summer book. Summer started wrong for girl, girl found boy then everything felt that things are now finally falling into place. I admit that yes, it’s kinda typical but this book is so much more than that. Maybe I love this book so much because of the family thing in it. Make me read a book that has like family issues in it there’s a big chance that I will love it. The writing is pretty good, it’s not hard to read, if you know what I mean.
“There’s just something fun, very once in a while, about getting the shit scared out of you.”
I can somewhat relate to the main character, Macy. She’s awkward and does not open up to her family. I don’t like Macy’s mom. She’s really inconsiderate but oh well, I can kind of understand it because of what she went through. Delia the caterer is really the kind of mother or aunt anyone would want. She’s caring and unique and I just love her personality. Speaking of personality, there’s Kristy who is freaking awesome and funny. I love her so much and please I’m begging anyone, let me have a Kristy for a best friend. Of course, a contemporary YA romance book would not be complete without an attractive and mysterious guy. Wes.

Wes. Oh my Wes. I don’t want to scream to you guys but WES IS LIKE MY ULTIMATE BOOK BOYFRIEND. Like I said before, I like my book boyfriends quiet and oh-so mysterious. So that’s what Wes is: quiet, mysterious and incredible. He’s not perfect and that’s what I love most about him. He’s also real smooth. Please, I’m begging anyone again, let me have a Wes.

Some of my favorite parts are when Wes and Macy are playing Truth. It’s sa-woon! (If you have read the book then you know what I mean.) I love how, even the small things, connect to the larger points in the story. It’s really awesome. My absolute favorite part would be the part before the actual ending. It is when Macy opened one of her Dad’s gifts. It’s WOW.
“Facing up to things, working through them, that’s what makes you strong.”
Reading this book again made me really happy because I remembered how much I love and enjoy reading it back then. The Truth About Forever would be forever on my top favorite books and if you haven’t read them, then add this on your TBR books now, like, right now. I especially recommend them to fans of Jennifer E. Smith.

I like it when I read a teen novel but it's not only focused about the love story but also told me development of their characters. How the change shifted smoothly and all. Sarah Dessen also has this delicate writing, make me carefully read her story, words by words, lines by lines, and then I found myself adore her writing.
I just knew it.

I love Sarah Dessen and I'm not afraid to admit it. Her work with character development and interactions are well crafted, her writing is compelling and her stories are interesting. In this novel, Macy is dealing with the death of her father by trying to be perfect. Perfect is not achievable, and the quest has been making her miserable. So when she meets a disorganized group of misfits, she learns how to be happy, not perfect. Loved it.
