I liked this. Easy to listen to and probably the realest feeling book I’ve read so far

I wanted to love this book but found it very repetitive and meh, it could have been half as long.
a little repetitive but good ideas! helpful to think through different types of birth, having a backup plan, and thinking through different challenges postpartum. not super scientific but has practical ways to find a good practitioner, prepare a plan for birth, and has some decent resources
Not very informational - more motivational and confidence-building than anything. I'm the kind of person who needs to devour as much information as I can in order to feel like I have ~some~ control over uncontrollable circumstances, and this book did very little for me in that regard. However, I can see me recommending this one to other parents-to-be who may be struggling with confidence in their body's ability to birth a baby in general who don't have the same need for every minute detail about birth to be burned into their anxiety-ridden brains.

Great book to really get me into the judgement free mindset when it comes to labor & postpartum!
Not enough science + data, it's more of a self-help guide to feeling confident while pregnant. Also the book is based on the American health care system.
