A Bathroom Book for People Not Pooping or Peeing But Using the Bathroom as an Escape by Joe Pera

I know, the title. Forget the "p" words (which are in extra-small print on the cover, anyway). This short audiobook is for anyone that can relate to feeling anxious and needing a time-out to regroup.
I'm a big fan of Joe's gentle comedy and his brilliantly comforting "Joe Pera Talks With You" television series. If you haven't seen it, it's an odd, funny, and relentlessly sweet spiritual successor to the shows that Fred Rogers and Carl Sagan created. Calm and meditative (if a bit quirky), directly addressing you while celebrating life's everyday joys with sincere appreciation and wonder, even throwing in the occasional history lesson for good measure.
The music and sound design essentially make this a bonus episode of the show. The audiobook is only fifteen minutes long but they're all surreal, warm, and weirdly reassuring.

Very short & meditative. Joe’s slow speaking voice & incredible sound design is a delightful experience

Please look past the title and READ THIS BOOK.
Specifically, LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK. If you’re not familiar with Joe Pera’s work, he’s what would happen if Mr. Rogers had gone into comedy instead of children’s television. This book surprised laughter out of me a few times, and its through-line of sincere positivity and thoughtful observations is classic Pera.
Also, the audiobook only takes fifteen minutes to listen to including credits. Thanks to Libro.fm for the free review copy!

Solid. Tried to read it in the same cadence that Joe Pera would and it definitely made it more fun.
