Such a beautiful story. I don't often cry anymore when I read books but this one had me welling up. A wonderful story about dog breeding from the perspective of a puppy. We really don't deserve dogs.

This was incredibly sad. It was a fast paced story and didn't involve too many characters which is appreciated as a reader. The ending was wholesome and heartwarming despite the aspects of the story that made me want to cry.

This is a very sad book but beautifully told with a host of interesting characters (both human and animal). There were a lot of plot holes and the whole story felt a bit thin overall: I can’t quite pin down what the point of it was.

I don’t understand the title: Scraggly didn’t seem to have dreams, literally or figuratively.

A simple little book telling a moral tale through the voice of a South Korean puppy/dog as it is born, weened and grows up. Covers many of the mishaps and dilemmas which face us all in a very engaging way. Illustrations excellent - simple but appropriate.

I really loved this book. I've never read a book that's written from a dog's perspective so for me it was a really unique read. You start to empathise with the dog just as you would do with 'normal' characters in a book. It isn't actually a very happy read what you might think looking at the title. Because the dog Scraggly has to deal with a lot of pain and sorrow. The other animals which occur in the book are also really presented as characters with their own personalities and life struggles. I didn't really get the title and the synopsis of the book compared to the story though. Because the dog didn't really dream of going out of the fence to start her own life, away from her owners. But long story short, I really loved this easy read and I would recommend it to anyone who is a dog lover, or who isn't a dog lover and will be after you have read this book. :)

p.s: The book design and the drawings in between the chapters are really beautiful and one of kind!
