i really dislike “love triangles” and after some volumes i was cheering for Toma but i still enjoyed this ending.

I think this story really portrays well enough what is to be a teenager and falling in love, it is a whole new experience, where you are learning and will keep making mistakes but you learn from them and keep moving forward.

je les adore trop tous pitié j'ai trop aimé retourner dans l'histoire et avoir le cœur qui se serre parce que c'est juste trop mignon.

*****SPOILERS AHEAD*****

All in all, this was a nice way to end the series. We got a lot of cute moments between Futaba and Mabuchi and Murao and Kominato becoming a couple was definitely worth the wait. Only reason why this is three stars is that my heart didn't squee as much as I thought it would considering this is the final volume. Overall though, not a bad ending at all.

Final thoughts on the series: I totally get why this series is considered a "classic" in terms of shoujo manga. It has a lot of tropes inherent in the genre, but most are handled well, better than some contemporary shoujo manga even. That being said, nothing new is being done here and I will honestly say that the beginning half of the series was better than the latter half. Still, would I recommend this series? Sure. It's a nice, quick read with some fun characters and lovely art. Yes, there are some problematic elements in it, but frankly said elements are pretty common in shoujo romance so I don't think it's a big deal. Also, while the last two volumes weren't my favorite, I don't think they're so bad that you'd want to drop it that late in the series (of course if you want to drop it before finishing it, go for it. I'm not gonna tell you have to read or live your life). So, if you're looking for a light, quick read, especially a classic series, you should definitely give this a read.

This was a cute little ending to the story. All the loose ends got nicely tied up, and I loved learning the name of the stray cat Kou adopted earlier in the series. It was really cute.

This is a nice "happy for now" story, but they are still in high school and things are left on a positive note.
I found the characters in the series very relatable for various reasons. I related to Kou's grief, I related to Futaba's personality, I related to Shuko's trust issues, I related to Yuri's subtle insecurities, and I related to Aya's care for his friends.
The characters drove this plot and what I loved the most about this series. The artwork is my second favorite thing. I like how unique it feels and how she draws characters.
