Was this a literary masterpiece? No.  But the author never claimed it was. It kept me engaged and I sped through it

This is just pure romance with no real plot, and that’s totally okay and I was very entertained anyway 😂 I loooove a good “touch her and unalive” and this was pretty unhinged 😂 I enjoyed every second of it though.

Read this book at just the right time, and it was EXACTLY what I needed. Look, fated mates is gonna do it for me every time and I was kicking my feet giggling that this story just goes straight in on it. I’m currently at my wits end with 450 page romantasys that require a 3-5 book commitment. I will be delighted to read any number of one shot stories in this faeverse!

Rennick is hysterical and single minded in his desires, and there’s no line he won’t cross. Amelia spends the entirety of the book benefiting from those desires and being worshipped. Literally what more is there to ask for.

Whew, that book was rough to read. I was prepared for a light morally grey romance book when the author wrote that this book had no world building or fantasy plot. Usually the characters in those types of books are fleshed out enough to carry the story with no plot other than romance. But throughout the entire book the main characters acted like wattpad 13-year olds. Every character and story line were very rough around the edges.
If you love reading wattpad story's, this one's for you. If you want a morally grey romance that reads like the characters are actually 25, maybe try out another book
