This is my first book from the Chance Sisters series, so I came into it not knowing any of the characters. I really enjoyed Ash's character. He's a man who made a mistake and doesn't think he can be forgiven for it. And yet he's a good man, and he's so adorable dealing with Charley's younger brother Toby. In fact, my favorite scenes were with Ash and Toby becoming friends. I also enjoyed Ash's friendships with his other friends, setting him straight several times. Saying that, I never cared for Charley's character. She's asleep from about the first half of the book (and it's already a short book as it is). Because of that, the only attraction I saw between her and Ash were that they were both attractive. Yep, that's about it. So, I didn't enjoy the romance, but I loved the sweet friendships.
