I haven't gotten into a book and needed to read it so quickly in a while, but I couldn't put this one down! It had the perfect book tropes: touch her and your done, guy takes care of injured girl & vice versa, fated love, loving and devoted guy. I also love that she included artwork throughout! I am so in love with this book and am dying to read book 2! Luna did such an incredible job!

I really loved the authors' take on vampires, and I really loved the story. The author writes well and has great ideas. However, I could not stand the main female character. She was a hypocrite, whiney, and was mentally weak. She was immature and two-dimensional.
The main female characters cas fell in love way too fast, just accepted the whole supernatural world. It seemed like the author just rushed things. Cas has a heart condition that is going to kill her, yet major things like kidnapping and torture, and she is just fine. She yells at damien for keeping things from her, yet she is keeping her illness a secret. She just accepts all his friends and leaves her one friend behind. She falls in love after one date, and I just didnt feel it.
This story and author have a lot of potential.

I could not get into the story. I kept trying but DNF’d at 22%. There were numerous typos but also a number of places with just blatant inconsistencies. She would set her phone down on her desk then 2 paragraphs later be removing it from her pocket when she got a text?
These, mixed with the writing style, was enough for me to put the book down with no regrets. It wasn’t doing it for me in any way.

Not me finally reading this after buying the paperback when it was released but also owning a copy of the special edition BUT YES I finally read it.
I read this pratically in one sitting, it was that good. It's fated mates and star crossed lovers (to a degree) too but also paranormal and fantasy. I loved it!
Damien has been through the ringer and he is so nice and thoughtful. I just love the guy.
Cassie is an interesting character. She was diagnosed with a disease and that has been not great for her which also means she wants to enjoy life but she can't. Until she meets Damien.
There is just something about him that pulls her in and she feels safe, happy but sometimes sad too. 🤐
Some weird stuff happens too which left me with question after question which led to me to not stop reading until I have some answers because yes, this book didn't answer all my questions hence why I look forward to read To Ashes And Dust next. I love when I like a book so much and the next is already out ( i have it on my shelf already and yes, you guessed correctly. I also bought that one when it was released. ) so I don't have to wait to know what happens next. 🙃
I loved their romance and I can't wait for more. I also like the other guys too and I'm excited for them.
Cole deserves a redemption arc and that's my stance. I hated him when he was where he wasn't supposed to however there's more to it than what we know (I'm like 99% sure of it) and I feel like he needs redemption and I hope Miss Luna gives him that. 😉

I liked the story concept but something about the writing just didn't work for me. I didn't connect to the story or characters enough.
And how do you keep a deadly heart condition from everyone? How does your childhood best friend not know?
Some things just don't match up
