After this, I want to live in Rainbow Ranch. We love some cute and lighthearted love. Wyllie and Boone are the sweetest, with big hearts opening to each other for a chance at love. This book gave off all the right small-town ranch vibes; the Rainbow Ranch feels like the perfect place where everyone is welcome and won't be judged, and that's exactly what Wylie needed, Boone knew how to respect his time, and at the same time knew how to be brave and open himself to a possibility of something good, and to have someone to take care of him. In good Matt's fashion, there are great spicy scenes, with care and vulnerability between the two. I was such a great read!
I had the time of my life, and I can't wait for the rest of the series. Thank you so much, Grey's Promotions and Matt's, for this ARC!

If you want forced proximity, a feel-good cowboy romance, found family, and a grumpy x sunshine vibes, you should definitely read this one!

Stirring Spurs was such a fun and heartwarming MM romance. Boone and Wylie could not have been a better match.

Boone was such a confident and endearing man, he knew what he wanted from the start while also making it very clear just how welcome, safe, and loved Wylie was at Rainbow Ranch.

Wylie took some warming up and his self-discovery made the budding feelings for Boone so meaningful. Although he went to Rainbow Ranch with the expectation of limited work, he found a home and the love of his life.

What M A Wardell does so well is writing romantic and sexy stories that also have deep and profound characters. Boone and Wylie both had their own baggage and history that made them who they are and being together forced them to confront and ultimately heal from their past.

Another great read from Wardell and a solid 5 star read.

I liked it. It was cute. I want to see what else happens with these siblings. I like the setting. I wish they were more bear-ish but it was still good. Kinda cringe sometimes but in a goofy way not a bad way.

I must be going through a cowboy era, because I don’t think I’ve read as many cowboy romance books as I have in recent months. Am I complaining? Absolutely not! Although it’s not a genre that would usually appeal to me, I’m finding myself enjoying it more and more.

Stirring Spurs is the first novella in the Rainbow Ranch series. Rainbow Ranch is a series written by multiple authors which describes the lives of four siblings who have decided to transform their late parents’ ranch into an environment that embraces diversity, particularly with regard to people whose sexual orientation is not heteronormative.

Initially, I found it difficult to empathise with the characters, and, since my ability to relate to characters is important to me, I also struggled to become invested in the book. However, by the end of the first third of the story, this feeling had gradually faded, and I found myself wanting to know more about Boone and Wylie.

The two of them are really sweet together, and their story doesn’t feel rushed. I liked the little gestures they made towards each other, and enjoyed seeing the way they got to know one another. I also appreciated all the work Wylie put into looking after Noodles.

I can’t wait to continue reading the other stories in this series!

Many thanks to M.A. Wardell and Grey’s Promotions for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Stirring Spurs. This review is my own. All opinions expressed are mine.
