Not as funny as usual. Glad we got a bit of a break from the ridiculous love triangle. Still too much of it for me though. Neither of these guys would still be putting up with Steph’s sh*t after this long it’s insane.

I enjoyed it. It's not as good ad some of the others but amusing nonetheless.

I realized as I was reading this that I didn't read #17. Ah well. If anything, this is a series that can be easily read out of order without missing a beat. Essentially it IS the same story over and over again but I got to say.... I really enjoyed this one.

Stephanie Plum just gets home from a trip to Hawaii and everything is confused and complicated. We eventually get the story pieced together and, not surprisingly, it involves Ranger and Morelli. Throw in a dead guy in a trash can, a photo that appeared in Stephanie's messenger bag and Lula with a rocket launcher and this is one of the better books in the series.

Loved this book, can't wait for 19!

Always a fun read :)

Meh

The good - it was a page turner that I flew through and did enjoy while I was reading.

The bad - it wasn't as interesting or funny or well developed as any of the other books in the series.

Just wondering if she is ever going to develop past where she has been for 18 books. She's still a crappy bounty hunter, she still can't decide between two men. All of the jokes are about the same (Lulu is an ex ho and she wears clothes that are too tight, Grandma is going to cause trouble at funerals, father is grumpy, mother drinks when stressed etc. etc. etc.)
I love the writing, it's just the lack of development anywhere that seems frustrating at this point. Stephanie should be better at her job by now, she really should stop making the same bad decisions (forgetting to charge her taser), just a pick a man will you.

I'll keep reading for the foreseeable future...just frustrated with the plot and character choices.
