I hate when I have to read the reviews of others because I feel like I didn’t read the same book and was left in the dust.

Was this book entertaining to some degree, yes.
Do I think it being classified as YA is questionable, yes.

Am I just too old now and becoming sensitive or is this really a serious topic that needs to be had?

Anyway, it was alright. Entertaining enough, but not so much so that I want to continue this journey.

esta muy bueno solo que el final era muy predecible

One of Us Is Lying is about five very different teenagers brought together by detention, with one of them failing to make it out alive and the four who do end up suffering.

I probably would've enjoyed this book better if I read it as a teen but reading it as a young adult, it's not too bad. I took so long to finish reading this book because some chapters were slow, and I took a while to adjust to the constantly switching points of view. Each point of view is different, and I got a bit attached to the characters. However, I ended up not liking one of them towards the end even if I liked them a lot in the earlier chapters, and I finished this book loving the character I disliked in the beginning. The romance drama towards the end after the main conflict was solved is completely unnecessary in my opinion. I hope no one comes out of this book thinking everyone with depression wants to suffer as much as they do. I kept reading this book because I wanted to find out what happened, but I'm feeling meh once I did.

I'm giving this three stars because I enjoyed it, but I'm not crazy about it.

I enjoyed this audio book more than I thought I would to be honest.
I know this is written for the YA audience, I thought the author did a good job with sprinkling in the real touches of being a teenager without going over the top and making it unenjoyable for the YA or Adult audiences that may pick up this book.
Addy & Jake - Seems like a typical HS couple, as the relationship unfolds the adult in me is screaming that he is way too controlling, but I see how this could be considered normal by a HS girl and I'm happy with the way the author tackled this topic.
Nate - while he is on probation and is a troubled teen, you can't help but just love him. His road has been rough and you feel for him and understand the bad decisions he's made along the way, you are rooting for him from the very start.
Cooper - I guessed his secret from the very start, I think it was predictable and in this day in age shouldn't be as big of a deal as it was, however I am not a teenage boy going through those thoughts or feelings so I respected and felt for him during his chapters and what he was going through. I think the author did a good job of laying it out there in a way readers could feel.
Bronwyn - I also guessed her secret right away, it wasn't a hard stretch. You like her though, and you don't think she deserves what she is going through. You are rooting for her and Nate's relationship/friendship from the very start.
Simon - unfortunately he isn't a likeable character, I think if he had chapters you could have understood him a bit more. Why was he so angry and depressed, the things that happened to him were not great, but I also don't think they were as bad as he made them out to be in the snippets you hear. Perhaps if we heard his voice we could have understood him better.
Overall - the "who done it" part of the book was written well, I didn't fully put the pieces together until the author led me to it, so very well done. I had suspected someone outside of the room but I didn't see it going the way that it did.
I'm looking forward to the next book in line.
This was a quick enjoyable read that kept my interest!

Reminded me a bit of a mash between The Amateurs and The Breakfast Club but I honestly REALLY ENJOYED IT! I liked watching the characters become more like themselves and closed together. I mean we had some work left with Cooper but I feel like his father wrecked his ability to trust and care. I can’t really say more. I loved Bronwyn and Nate. Abby finding herself right along her sister. There was so much sisterly love. I love watching them outgrow their parents but needing them at the same time. Love it. Even more than the mystery (which I personally did not see).
