This book is a prime example for why old school romances got a bad reputation. I will never be a fan of medievals, really anything before the 1700s isn't my bag in the romance genre. So far all of the JD backlist I've read features hardheaded almost mean heroes, long suffering but easily jumping to conclusions heroines, and marital rape. Not cool.
