The book gets a lot of hate. Sometimes Belly deserves it. I look back though and remember trying to grow up and navigate big emotions even at 16. Yes she’s whiney yes she has a serious case of the boy crazies…but she also a girl growing up. So she is childish after all she is still a kid.

I did struggle to get through the early parts but (spoilers coming) Beck having cancer the boys navigating that and everyone in their feelings.. I get it. I am going to finish the series.. I do hope Isabel is gonna grow up and show some growth i really do.

I didn't like Cam. I didn't really like Conrad. I almost cried. I don't really like Belly she's kinda self centered and think everything is about her. I read this in just a few hours I couldn't put it down.

easy read. cute scenery and for a younger crowd. no depth and book is highly predictable. good beach read if you just want to zone out and live vicariously through this girls crush lol.

I LOVED this book! I do wish I hadn’t watched the series yet because of ‘big reveal’. The emotions would have hit much harder. I do like that I wasn’t just reading what I saw either. The book and show are plenty different with similar scenes or situations. I cannot wait to finish this series (I went and bought book 2 because I refused to finish book 1 without it) and to see how else the storyline differs from the show.
