This was okay… I loved the idea of the book and was excited because of the genre but nothing about this seemed like a thriller or psychological. I kept reading because I had hopes it was about to take a turn, however it didn’t.
Delaney shifts from his normally cerebral but futuristic and fantastical domestic worlds to one we could all live in everyday. He asks tough questions about the choices we make, who we are, and what ultimately makes us family. However, he still breaks out the fantastical drama in the last part of the book.

One of my favorite reads of 2020. The concept of your child being switched at birth is a chilling one and this book shows how scary it can get. One of the characters in this book truly made my skin crawl and caused me a lot of frustration. The story is full of twists and turns, although none are shocking, it still makes for an excellent story. Highly recommended!
Excellent Book! I definitely recommend reading it! 5 stars!
A simple night at home and a knock on the door turns out to be a couple with proof that your son has actually been switched at birth with the other couple. At first the two couples decide to coparent both children for the welfare of the children. Little did the "good" couple know that the evil father was going behind their backs trying to retain custody of both boys. It was a good book with a few twists.
I fell into this story very quickly. It had very short chapters in alternating perspectives which made me go through the book pretty quickly. I also liked how some of evidence submitted for the case were sprinkled in between chapters. What I found a little sad was although it was about two babies switched at birth, it was focused more on Theo. David wasn't really featured in the story as much as he should have been especially in Maddie's chapters. But overall, an interesting read.

I have been having nightmares reading this contemporary psychological thriller. So I need to end my relationship with it and gain back my sanity.
nooo. it doesn't have a gruesome murder or anything like that. lemme briefly ask you, what would you do when a stranger, standing on your doorstep one morning telling you that the kid you've been raising for the past 2 years is not actually yours?
