I received a print ARC from the PLA conference. Hands down my favorite of Delaney's books. Delaney reinvents himself with every book, and this one reminds me a lot of Jodi Picoult - I will definitely hand this one to her readers. When Pete Riley and his partner, Maddie Wilson, find out that their son Theo was switched at birth, at first they try to make the best of it. Maddie remembers the parents of David, their biological son, as kind people. They'd spent time together in the NICU, and it had to be a simple mistake. The families think they can get along, but they didn't bargain for all their secrets coming to light. They try to sue the hospital, but the investigation that results goes horribly awry. From there it is a twist-a-minute, with lots of satisfying legal drama.
