"Playing Nice" by Bonnie J P Delaney is a gripping psychological thriller exploring human nature's darker aspects. The story follows two couples discovering their sons were accidentally switched at birth. They become entangled in a complicated web of lies, secrets, and manipulation. The narrative moves quickly with suspenseful twists, keeping you engaged until the end. The author creates complex and relatable characters, even with questionable decisions.

This novel poses thought-provoking questions about parenthood, identity, and justice. How far would you go to protect your child? What defines a family? And who should be held accountable?

While "Playing Nice" is well-crafted, some readers may find certain plot points unrealistic or forced. Some of the dialogue is clichéd and doesn't sound natural. The story relies on coincidences and misunderstandings to generate conflict, which may frustrate some readers. The ending is somewhat predictable and rushed but still satisfying. It's important to note that this book contains graphic and violent themes that may not be suitable for all readers. However, if you're looking for a thrilling and emotionally charged read that will keep you thinking long after you finish, "Playing Nice" is worth checking out.

I definitely enjoyed the book but it took me a long time to get into it. I felt like it started off strong and then hit quite a lull until about 75% of the way through. I’m interested to see what others think.
