Ehh… compared to Priest, Robbie and Julien’s story these two weren’t as entertaining as I’d hoped…

Honestly i don’t think I’ll continue even though it did end on a kinda cliffhanger…

Gotta find a series I can get into like the last couple ones because I feel like a slump is coming if I don’t find something to keep me engaged haha soo let’s see what I can find next.

"I like that."
"What ?"
"That I make you shy."

This book was definitely unexpected. And I loved that!

I'm so used to the whole start up: guy meets guy, one is into the other and the other guy is either oblivious to his charm or doesn't feel the same. With Henry and Bailey, that wasn't the case. Instead for the first chapter or two, there was an instant connection! The heat between them was instantaneous and you knew sparks were flying the instant they met!

The other unexpected parts that I loved were the time jumps or twists that nobody expected! What a great way to shock the reader! It just made me excited to read more!

As for the men.....CAN SOMEBODY JUST GIVE POOR HENRI A HUG?! Oh my gosh, with all of those flashbacks, my heart was breaking for him! I loved seeing into his past since we've been in the dark the whole that he's been popping in and out of Priest's life through the Confessions series. Which by the way, is it bad to say that I really hate Priest now. (I feel bad for saying that because I adored him so much with Julian and Robbie, but the way he treats Henri...yeah, it's safe to say I don't like him as much lol) It was just as dark as Priest's past was, but I felt that my heart broke even more for poor Henri. The poor guy has suffered enough! But away from the sad stuff, his sarcastic humor was the thing that made me love him more and more.

As for Bailey, he's an adorable sweet and shy boy that I just want to get a cup of coffee with and talk to. He's just so sassy but sweet! Plus the way he uses his witty ways to fire back at Henri. I really hope that we'll get to see more of his backstory in the next book!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, as I always do whenever I read something by Ella. The book was engaging and the characters were superb (not to mention the heat between Henri and Bailey). But I'm also worried for how things will go when Henri's past will be revealed to Bailey. I don't want their relationship to crash yet! I love them together so much! Let Henri move on with his life! Anyways, I really loved this book and I'm eagerly waiting for Bailey to come out! October can't come soon enough!!!

I say this about every Ella Frank novel, and it still rings true.

Sensual, lustful, can’t get you off of my mind combustible heat.

Henri is not such a good boy, and when he meets hot cop Bailey, he knows that them hooking up is a very very bad idea.

Bailey doesn’t do one night stands, but he’d gladly ignore his personal rules just this once.

One night is never enough.

As always, the attraction is magnetic, the lust and want are undeniable, and though both Henri and Bailey fight their feelings, their dicks just want to play. The emotions are a bit slow on the uptake, but prepare yourself for the back and forth long seduction that is par for the course.

Frank’s MC’s can never resist each other for too long and giving in is what it’s all about. This does end on a tentative HFN, and I’m sure the conclusion will be just as satisfying as the chase!

I admit this might have been an even better read if I had first read the other Confession books, but I'm not really comfortable reading mmm at the moment and since there are four books, I decided to skip them. It's not that I didn't understand the story, but some of the dynamics may have been missed.

That said, I loved this book so much! Henri is such an interesting character and I felt so badly for him. His backstory was intriguing and it was amazing to see what kind of person he became with the childhood he had. I have to say I love lust at first sight stories a lot of the time, when two characters think they can just have one time and be done with it, then find it impossible to walk away. I love Henri and Bailey so much.

4.5⭐️ - I didn’t think I’d fall for Henri and Bailey…boy was I wrong!

I adore Henri! He so broody and introspective. He is so Simple’s and yet so simple. He really just needed to find that one person who was willing to see past the facade and let him be open. Bailey was such a kind and good man he was helpless against Henri. They both were really.

Finding out about Henri and Joel’s pay was painful at moments but helped to give insight and understand both better.

The passion between Henri and Bailey was fire!! I loved their connection and how they couldn’t resist the other!

I wasn’t gonna read this right away...I was gonna wait until the next one was imminent. I KNOW better than to read this before the next one comes out, yet here I am, dying for the next one because I woke up too early this morning and decided to read and I devoured the whole thing. I absolutely love Henri and Bailey and I can’t wait to see how this whole thing plays out!

I really liked this book but felt like my legs were knocked out from under me. Just as I was really getting into it all of a sudden it ended and was like tune in for Bailey...
I love Henri. He's got so many feelings and I just loved them.
Bailey is a sweetheart and I am really looking forward to seeing where she takes these two.
