This was ok. I was excited for the cooking show setting, but the story fell kinda flat and I wasn't really invested. It may have been a pacing issue.

Sometimes your soul needs a queer romantic comedy and this was exactly what the doctor prescribed. Started off really strong, found myself giggling quite a bit. Just didn't hold up at the end, like the writer didn't really know what to do once they were together and this happened about 40% in.

This was very sweet!! Ngl I don’t love cooking shows so that whole thing was kinda boring to me 🙈 Dahlia also had issues that were annoying and dumb!!! Like why would you tell London that you don’t want to stay after you’re kicked off to wait for them and that you don’t want them to come to you after either??? To me (and them) bro it just sounds like you don’t really like them 😐 so sorry I don’t believe you when you decide after that actually you are in love with them.  London deserved better 😬 from the beginning, they knew they liked Dahlia (besides the part where they were like ummm I think this might be too complicated after they kissed for the first time at the beach (which actually was understandable … she literally decided to ditch them the second she lost)) and it felt like she was stringing them along when she would avoid them and then be like I need space (which is also understandable because they were also working together at the time so they were constantly around each other) but she refused to ever explain herself 😤 also at the finale when she was like “this is their moment 🤗” and didn’t go talk to them before or after the filming … you are a bitch and it isn’t cute 😶‍🌫️ honestly London was the best part ❤️‍🩹 they were soooo sweet and they obviously liked her sooo much 🥹

A sweet, cooking show romance between two very likeable characters. Although I don't think this will be a new favourite, I did enjoy seeing Dahlia find herself again after being lost for so long and London go from strength to strength in the competition as their authentic self.

2.5, maybe? Idk.
I was pretty disappointed with this one and I could barely emotionally connect to *anything*, but at least it has good non-binary rep.

My review of this book may be clouded by the fact that I read it two days after reading the phenomenal [b:Delilah Green Doesn't Care|54756850|Delilah Green Doesn't Care (Bright Falls, #1)|Ashley Herring Blake|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1643753957l/54756850._SY75_.jpg|85417216].

I thought the beginning was weak and hated that the book "came full circle" in such a stupid way. As for the romance itself, it wasn't developed enough. I could see the attraction, but the fact that a character was in love so quickly was a bit of a stretch.

Overall, I feel as if I just read an homage to cooking competition shows instead of a romance novel.

This book was so sweet and fluffy. I really enjoyed this story so much. It was so enjoyable to read about Dahlia and London falling in love. I also really loved the cooking aspect of it, and being on reality TV. It was a sweet read, would definitely recommend this if someone was looking to get into lgbt fiction.
