Another reread. I mistakenly brought this when me and my friends went out of town. I thought it was the one I hadn't read. Anyho, I liked it the same way I liked the first politically correct book I read. Had so much fun reading the alternate endings. Laugh trip all through the end.

This book was really just pretty dumb. A waste of pages.

This book is very funny in a way that can be appreciated by all genders, classes, and ethnicities. Its universal and progressive humor seeks to be inclusive and well-meaning above all. I was not offended.

I am always a fan of witty humor, as well as a fan of fairy tales. What could be better than both? Garner rewrites several well known fairy tales but adds a comic twist of modern humor. Well done.

This book is HILARIOUS! Garner takes the Brother Grimm's fairy tales and gives them a satirical twist that will be sure to have you laughing out loud. I read this book in one sitting and absolutely adored it! Although this book is definitely not suitable for kids, most teenagers should be able to understand and enjoy the humour in these stories. Cinderella was definitely my favourite of all the re-tellings!

found this at a used book store for a buck- remembered reading it a decade ago. it holds up pretty well for the most part- its worth it just for his reimagining of 'the three little pigs' as a history of cuba and western imperialism- brilliant.

Excellent. Tous les contes de l'enfance revus et policés à la sauce politiquement correcte. Très drôle donc.

Ther is a fine line between satire and insult. This book tap dances vigorously on that line.

Overall I enjoyed these rediculous re-tellings of faerie tails

This was an amusing little book, taking fairy tales and casting them in politically correct terms. I even used one of the stories in one of my English classes. The textbook had a unit of Cinderella story versions, and I added this in to the mix. Reaction was mixed from amusing to offensive. But it did lend itself well enough for some discussion in class back then.
