I love these books. Outlander was one of my all time favorites! This one started very slow, and the first 50 or so pages I Swear I had read it before. The passion and love between Clair and Jamie is beautiful. Now that said, I felt it was predictable... and is there another book coming? This one was very epic...

I love this series and would actually give this book 4.5 stars if allowed since I enjoyed the stories of many of my favorite characters and walking beside them in their world. Since we were left in such a suspenseful place at the end of the previous book, I was anxious to get answers to my questions and eventually got that in this book, but I would not say this was my favorite of the series. Still very enjoyable! And I hope her next one is published by the time my next reading challenge comes around!

I tried to pace myself. Tried to make this one last, knowing it will probably be at least another 4 years before the next one comes out. Especially towards the end I found myself taking more frequent breaks between chapters. It's like that last cookie on the plate, or the last punch on your season pass. You just don't want it to end. But it does, and the next day you've got a book hangover. Sigh. What to read next . . .
