It has been a while since I have read a Cross story, and I have missed Bree and Alex Cross, their family, and John Sampson. This was the first Cross book I have listened to as an audiobook and I think they missed out on having Morgan Freeman reading it... I still picture Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross since watching the early movies.  He is still my favorite Alex Cross. I look forward to reading the next story.

I love the Alex Cross series. I keep finding new ones pop up in thrift stores and they’re always an immediate buy from me because they’re the perfect comfort read.

They’re fun, engaging, high stakes, and reliable. I enjoy reading each one, and I know there’s going to be an ending where the killer is caught.

This one was unique with the serial killers perspective slid into there. As the story went on, I started to suspect something fishy was going on and was pleasantly surprised to find I was right about the killer, as that almost never happens.

I really enjoyed the back and forth between all the POVs and the way they wove together.

I’ll always recommend this series if you’re looking for a fun mystery/ thriller. I have another waiting to be read on my shelf!

Their is the kind of book that reminds me why I keep coming back to Patterson and his Alex Cross series.
Almost unimaginable type of serial killer and a chilling chase for Cross to get his man. A murderer who kills entire families in their homes. A detective who has not lost his edge as well as an author and this story proves it.
I’m not sure the plot twists really catch me by surprise anymore but then after 30 Det. Cross novels written I think that’d be a tall order.

It's been a hot minute since I've read an Alex Cross book, the last few I read were a bit underwhelming, but this one was good and kept me coming back for more
