Best Alex Cross book in recent memory. A few new characters that were well developed and the reader somewhat care about.
Alex Cross is one series I could never tire of and so happy Patterson continues to solely write them. Once again he proves he’s a master at mystery in not one but two separate cases and manages to continue the non mystery aspects of keeping us updated on “the family” and watching them grow! This book made me want to zoom thru yet savor each chapter because it goes by too fast. Keep me guessing til the end where I finally figured out in the last two chapters

Reading 2022
Book 172: Triple Cross by James Patterson
Took a break from all the nonfiction reading this month to enjoy the newest installment in the Alex Cross series. At this point, Alex must in his 70s or 80s.
Synopsis: Detective Alex Cross hunts down a serial killer who’s murdering entire families—and who will next be coming for Cross.
Review: These books are quick reads, with short chapters, and suspense. 400 pages goes pretty quickly with Alex Cross and his family, each with their own story plot. Alex and his partner must hunt down the latest serial killer, and keep a true crime author at bay. This is the 30th book in the series, and you all know I am not into series reading that much. This series and the Women’s Murder Club are my longest running series that I will continue to read every year when the new books come out. I have these preordered so I will get it delivered to my Kindle immediately. A good installment. 4⭐️

4.5 stars. This was one of the better entries in the “Alex Cross” series. I have been a faithful reader for at least the last 20 books, and this one is in the Top 5 easily. My only major issue is I felt Patterson “undercooked” the whole Family Man killer angle. I wanted more, with a few more wrinkles. I felt because of this, the first 200 pages took a while to unwind. However, then the book takes off! So many twists, Patterson had me completely shocked by the end. Speaking of the end…wow. What a reveal!
Not the best, the main story was hard to follow and they tied everything together in a lazy way IMO. 20m until the end of the audiobook and you knew what they were trying to do, but how they got there made 0 sense.
