Dark and intriguing. I've read in between of these books and I really like them.
This is part of a series but you could read it as a stand alone. It will just make you want to read the rest though! You've been warned

DNF around 50%. I was hooked in the beginning but quickly lost interest with all of the police procedural elements. I felt like it was dragging on and I still had 300 pages left! Just not for me.

i was so pumped when i was browsing the stacks at my little virginia library branch and found not only this, but also the next joona linna on the shelves! they're not at DCPL...i was excited.
anyways! this is probably the weakest joona so far; there were some translation issues and eric was just a shitty character. there wasn't much joona too so that probably contributed. that said, the central mystery was super scary and creepy and i was pretty surprised at the end. obviously reading the next one right away...

This was another scary thriller from Lars Kepler and it didn’t disappoint me. However, at almost 500 pages it was a bit long and some chapters seemed unnecessary to finding the serial killer. I pieced together the motive but the murderer itself stumped me. It was a nice plot twist I didn’t see coming. Overall, I recommend to anyone who likes the other books in the series or fans of suspenseful thrillers.
Lars Kepler delivers another page-turner with STALKER, the fifth book in the Joona Linna series. Not only is a serial killer on the loose, but they’re also taunting the police with an up close and personal video of the victim. The authors do a masterful job ratcheting up the creepiness of the stalking and the victims’ fear.
Back again is hypnotist Eric Maria Bark, who must utilize all his skills to figure out who the killer is before it is too late.
