Read this one out of order - the blurb is not correct - he's not back from compassionate leave, he "died" in the previous book.
Not as amazing as "The Nightmare" but a compelling read

I enjoyed it, although there were some parts that were questionable in relation to the pacing and writing I really enjoyed it still.
I thought that everything tied up pretty nice and it made sense. I think it can be pretty hard to write a good crime novel, since it's really easy to mess up, but it all worked out here.
One thing I didn't like was the way women were depicted, cuz they were either described as potential sex partners, victims or just pregnant.
I don't think there was a single chapter in which the narrator doenst mention Margot's pregnancy. Like we get it, she's having a baby chill. But it's a crime novel, ig I shouldn't expect anything less.
Also the way the characters were reacting, the things they were doing and the decisions they were making, seemed annoying, stupid and confusing at times, but ig that's what makes it realistic. Cuz let's be fr would I or anyone have acted differently in that situation? Prob not. Enjoyed myself.
4.5⭐️

I put only 3 stars because it’s my least favourite out of the 5 Joona Lina’s series. Maybe it’s because Joona is less present or maybe because I found it a bit too long sometimes. Maybe it’s because I read it on Kindle whereas I usually have the paperback version. Not sure. I was just able to not read it for couple of days whereas the other books I could not let them down. It’s still a good detective story book.
